Sadly all the media companies we relied on throughout Trump's first term -- the original darkness in which democracy was dying -- have offered up their soft, white underbellies to the Trump regime skritches, including Paramount (parent company of CBS), Disney (parent company of ABC), the Los Angeles Times (run by Patrick Soon-Shiong), and the Washington Post (run by Jeff Bezos). And The New York Times kinda sorta sometimes agrees with the right wing, especially about trans people, especially about all ten playing college sports. This means that Trump has expanded the ranks of his faithful typists from Fox and OANN across the media spectrum. These outlets have carried a lot of water for him over the past decade, amplifying even his stupidest pronouncements, and it's just going to get worse. And stupider.

Which is why it's nice to have South Park pulling out all the stops in mocking our thin-skinned leader. It makes my cartoons kind of redundant, but that's okay. It's extra okay if it's nasty enough that the White House feels the need to respond.
